Lily LaRue is a burlesque performer, actress, and pin-up model bringing beauty, brains, and dazzling creative energy to the stage and
screen. Since starting her burlesque career spring 2004 in Detroit’s underground performing art scene, Lily has blossomed into a
sensational burlesque performer, and teacher.
Lily performed at the Detroit Fire Guild’s presentation of The Motor City Vaudeville Revue playing characters Emerald and Jungle Girl
Sapphire. She graced the stage of The Rothbury Festival with Eve’s Parlor, has been a regular performer with Torch with a Twist,
Detroit's vaudeville-style variety show, and Hell's Belles Girlie Revue. She has performed several times at the international erotic art
exhibition, The Dirty Show, and The Greatest Masquerade on Earth: Theatre Bizarre, both held annually in Detroit. Her special guest
appearances include: The Detroit Dizzy Dames, (Miss Exotic World 2010) Roxi Dlite’s Cabaret Theatre (Windsor, Ontario), Shimmy
Shack (Grand Rapids, MI), and Eve’s Parlor (Chicago).
She has worked on numerous films including work as a stand in on Whip-It, Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut about Roller Derby girls,
and appears as a regular background actor in several episodes of the ABC network series Detroit 187.
Lily has a wide range of acts from classical fan dances, to rock, metal, and even honky-tonk character shows. Lily is the creator and
instructor of a series of Burlesque classes teaching women confidence and empowerment though learning about burlesque taught
regularly at Pole Addiction and Wonder Women Pole Studio.

Intro to Burlesque Striptease: Strip Out of Your Closet - $25
Learn the philosophy of the tease through a brief history lesson,
video presentations, and signature moves.
Students learn a striptease routine with a basic outfit any woman
already has, a button down shirt and pencil skirt.
This class is designed to ease you into the tease, the striptease
stops the at your bra or tank top and shorts.
WEAR: shorts and a tank top or camisole
BRING: button down shirt, skirt with a zipper, and high heels
Burlesque Pastie Making Workshop - $20
This art and craft workshop (not an exercise class) explores the art
of pastie making. Pasties are creative and colorful ways to cover the
breasts and still keep something left to the imagination. Open to
anyone including pole dancing students.
Burlesque - Gown, Feather Boa, and Glove Dance - $25
A further study into the philosophy of the tease by exploring the
fancier side. Students learn a basic evening gown, feather boa, and
opera length gloves performance. In this dance we will strip down to
pasties if the student feels comfortable.
WEAR: bra and panties set, or shorts and tank top or camisole
BRING: dress or gown with zipper down back or side, high heels,
pasties made in the pastie making workshop. Feather boas, and opera
length gloves will be available for use, but students should bring
your own if you have them.
The pastie making workshop and introduction to burlesque is suggested as a
pre-requisite to this class.
Burlesque Stage Presence & Character Development - $30
*(Must have taken pole dancing or previous burlesque dance classes)
This is an intense critique of acts and development of your burlesque
character and presence. Learn how to communicate and relate to your
audience through facial expressions and channel your energy.
Performance is more than just going through the motions.
The class may be repeated to workshop and critique new acts.
Pole Dancers are welcome to incorporate your skills from your pole
classes and add stage presence.
NO POLE TECHNIQUES ARE TAUGHT IN THIS CLASS.
WEAR: bra and panties set, or shorts and tank top or camisole
BRING: any previous class costume, or any costume and props you want
to work with.
