Lushes LaMoan is a Detroit based burlesque performer and model. Specializing in Pin-up and Vintage Varietease, Lushes
is trained in classic theatre and comedic arts. She incorporates her knowledge and background as a comedian into her
stage persona. Lushes started her performance career doing theatre performances and being an original cast member for
the Detroit based urban sketch comedy television show “Switch Play TV”. She started performing burlesque in 2006 with the
burlesque troupe “SPAG”.
Now with over 100 burlesque performances under her garter belt, both locally and nationally, she is considered a rising star in
the burlesque community. This has awarded her the title of Branch Director of the Detroit division of Dr. Sketchy's. On top of
being a strong solo performer, she shows exceptional leadership qualities while running her own troupe of 12 performers
known as the Detroit Dizzy Dames.
The Detroit Dizzy Dames were voted Best Burlesque by Real Detroit Magazine in 2010 under her guidance. She has been
the creator and choreographer of several group routines and has costumed for several of the Dames. Her modeling
experience has been recognized by Metrotimes, who made her their cover model for their Lust issue in February of 2010, as
well as the opportunity to work with great photographers such as Kristine Devine and Cybil Codish.
Lushes is available for hire for Public functions, Private gigs, Corporate events, Burlesque/pin up lessons, Make up and hair
stylist and photographers assistant. Part vintage vixen, part burlesque bombshell, she is one performer you are sure to

Signature Classes
"Broadway Baby Bumps"
This introductory course to burlesque basics will build your self awareness
through the essential movements of a stylish showgirl. Discover your inner
beauty by stripping out of everyday business attire showing off your outer
beauty. Your boss will give you a promotion once you strut through the office
with the confidence of a burlesque star. Please bring a suit coat, button up
blouse, camisole, skirt with zipper, stockings and heels/ pumps, don't forget to
wear your bra and panties.
"Basics of the Feather Boa"
In this course students will learn choreography that will teach how to reveal
and conceal with a luxurious burlesque prop. This class will touch base on
bumps, grinds and shimmies all while incorporating the feather boa. Boas will be
provided.
"Glamour Puss"
In this sultry class students will learn seductive choreography while wearing a
gown, gloves and boa. learn to strut and peel as though you were a runway diva.
Observers will come hither at your every move. With this class you'll be the
cats meow! Students should bring a gown or long dress with a zipper, opera
length gloves and pumps; boas will be provided.
"FANtastic"
In this course students will entice their inner Sally Rand by learning
the artistic technique of a classic fan dance. Gain the skill of hand
positioning through elegant choreography by using this signature prop.
"FANtastic" is a course designed for students of all levels, the sky is the
limit to glide like an angel. Fans will be provided for students.
"Twirl those Twins"
This demonstrative course to twirling will provide the artistry behind those
infamous tassels. Learn multiple techniques behind this well known burlesque
move. This course is designed to provide insight into the different methods of
twirling which will vary amongst student depending on body type, one method may
work for some and not for others don't be discouraged if one method is easier
than another. Blouses are optional for this course, sports attire with attached
tassels may be worn. Please provide your own tassels or take a tassel/pastie
making workshop.
"How to make a cheesecake"
In burlesque "cheesecake" is not a tasty desert. It's the flirtatiously coy
gestures and expressions that come with the nostalgic stylings of pin-up posing.
Pin-up and burlesque go hand in hand. They are twins; very similar yet slightly
different. In this course we will review pin-up attire and posing though
innocent and natural movements which can be displayed in any social scenario or
used in photo shoots. This course will teach you to become a fearless vintage
vixen.
